In magick, the first and most important step towards effective results involves identifying and clarifying the purpose of the spell. Only with clear and concise instructions can the universe compute the magical coding within a spell and deliver results that resemble the expectations of the magician.
You must ask yourself: what do you want to achieve with your spell? Be as specific as possible. It is important for the magician to be in a calm, meditative state while pondering this question. Only when the mind is focused, and the psychic censor is relaxed, can the unconscious mind come forward with information about its most important needs and desires.
While sitting with your question, allow yourself to visualize what your life will look like after your spell manifests. Enjoy the act of seeing in your mind’s eye all of the changes, large and small, that will occur as a result of you magical work. Allow yourself to feel these details as if they were blossoming into reality this very moment. In doing so, you allow your mind, body, and nervous system to understand the changes that are about to take place.
When you have finished using your imagination to explore your intention, write it down on a piece of paper. This will help to solidify your intention so that it can be used as a tool in spellcraft. An important note here is to to keep things simple, clear, and concise. In this way, the magician can limit the unpredictability and variance in their final results.
Now that it is written, go and speak your intention into existence. Allow the vibrations of your words to resonate through your body and aura, so that your entire being becomes familiar with what is about to happen. In this way, you tune yourself and your energy field into an environment that aligns with your intention. This act alone is a magical practice, bringing your intention closer and closer into full manifestation.
It is important to make sure your intention is stated in the present tense, and that it uses positive, inclusive language as opposed to negative, exclusive language. For example, instead of saying “I will be debt free,” you should say, “I am financially abundant.” In the first statement, the emphasis is on the future, rather than the present. This tells the universe that the results should always be delayed. Furthermore, the first statement carries the word “debt” which exudes a vibration that is ultimately counterproductive to the magician’s true goal. “Debt” and “abundance” resound with opposite vibrations. Therefore, the magician must be mindful as to which words they place within their spells.
Finally, it is important to include a touch of gratitude with each statement of intent. While it is powerful to say “I am financially abundant,” it is even more powerful to say “I am grateful to be financially abundant.” By adding this clause of gratitude, you more finely tune your energy to be in alignment with financial abundance.
As stated before, intention alone is enough to practice magick, as it is the fundamental tool required to shape reality. In future videos, however, we will explore how you can use these statements of intent as a part of even more powerful and complex methods such as crafting sigils and hyper sigils.
