One of the key principles of chaos magick is the concept of "gnosis," which refers to an altered state of consciousness where the mind is focused on a single task and detached from everyday thoughts. This state allows practitioners to bypass the limitations of their ordinary beliefs and access their subconscious mind more directly. Only by loosening the margins of their psychic censor can the magician bring forth results from the unseen world. For this reason, practitioners usually enter altered states of consciousness using meditation, rituals, or substances, before engaging in magical work.

Nothing is true, everything is permitted.
This suggests that underlying all of reality is the constant flow of change. All of our so-called truths and dogmas are subject to natural alteration as time proceeds. The All flows like a great stream. From this eternal and fluctuating process, new opportunities reveal themselves constantly. For those who have eyes to see, these opportunities appear anywhere and everywhere. The goal of the chaos magician is to believe in these opportunities, recognize them, and capitalize on them when they appear. In this way, timing is everything.
When chaos magicians say that “everything is permitted,” they are suggesting that all techniques can work, so long as there is proper intent, belief, and energy.
Underlying effective chaos magick is the deeply felt knowledge that The All, or the Source, is essentially infinite, and everything that can exist, does exist, even if it is not currently perceptible through our mortal sense organs. If the mind of the magician is truly sensitive to the unseen world, all results can be achieved.
Overall, chaos magick is a highly individualistic and experimental approach, where practitioners are encouraged to explore and create their own methods, rituals, and belief systems based on what works for them personally. Ultimately, the only way to start achieving results is to keep an open mind, practice consistently, and enjoy the process.
